eleven little lies

i.
you are perfection imperfect in
my myopic eyes that make you
seem like an angel with beautiful
wings dyed the colour of evil.

ii.
I, frankly, hate your poetry.

iii.
I don't believe in love, but hugs
from you make it hard
to convince myself of
that point.

iv.
I love you but there are
times when I feel like hitting
you upside the head because
you just get on my nerves.

v.
I forgive you. I was
wrong. I'm sorry.

vi.
you are a recurring dream at the
back of my head that I
wish will return at the end
of the night and overtake me.

vii.
I killed you with the back
of my wrist yesterday [sat
13] and I'm not sorry at all.

viii.
I am your tragedy but
you will always be my
happy ending.

ix.
there is something that I cannot
grasp about you. you are a mystery
with no solution, a paradoxical maze
of english pronounced like water on glass.

x.
I will whisper a prayer in a chapel
outside of town and make sure
you can hear each word crystal
clear because they are for you.

xi.
there are times I am overrun by
jealousy and there's nothing more I
want to do than to kill you if only I
could let my homicidal tendency take over.
